Zermatt!

Christmas in Zermatt…

A beautiful old town tucked away in a valley next to the border of Italy and under the watchful guard of the Matterhorn. So pretty, majestic, picturesque… all kinds of terms needed to describe this little village.

If you’re ever in southern Switzerland, or have some time available to get there, this is a must-see. The only way into town is by train – or by skiing in. But once there, you won’t want to leave – I promise.

Merry Christmas!!

The Amalfi Coast.

The amazing Amalfi Coast at Positano…

Anyone who has ever visited the Amalfi Coast has determined to make a return trip. That’s the allure of this amazing part of the world. Little villages magically glued to the sides of rocky cliffs, brilliant blue ocean, lovely people, great food… Could you ask for more??

This is a twilight shot looking northwest over the town of Positano. I was in a bit of a hurry here – not because the light was perfect and I needed to make my award winning shot… no, the little cafe across the street was distracting me from my work with it’s incredible food aromas… One more shot then off to il Trattoria.

Sunrise in Venice

Sunrise over Venice Italy…

The tiny island city of Venice is full of captivating views… of course the best time to see them is often sunrise. This is Santa Maria della Salute, just as the sun is crawling up the sky.

Sleeping in is great – especially if you’re on vacation. But if you’re in Venice, make sure to see the sunrise at least once. You’ll be glad I made you do it!
