Musee du Louvre at sunset

Oh what a sunset…
One of those rare – and wonderful experiences. Cloudy all day long and at the last few remaining moments of daylight, the sun pops out from under the heavy cloud cover and creates an impossibly brilliant view.
This time I was in the middle of setting up for an evening Photo Tour Class when the sunlight hit the ancient architecture with the force of a tornado. Needless to say, the class instantly broke-up, everyone scattered to create photos for the 45 seconds of breathtaking beauty that we were treated to.
This is one of mine – there was certainly no time to set up a tripod, but pretty colors none-the-less:

A great image Brian – as you say, timing is everything! Can you kindly advise how I can contact you to find out about your small group tours in France for 2013 as your contact form is generating an error message. Many thanks.
Brian, you’re compositions and colors are awesome – especially with pictures at dusk and those taken in cathedrals. I’m going to Paris the last week of August solo and look forward to coming home with great photos. How do you get such golden color in so many of your awesome pics?
Thanks, Jim
